Demonstrations

Cassandra Spaces Out

This time she talks about the planets and shows how she can deal with table data. Most of what she is doing is all Cassandra's generic understanding of tabled data with the addition of a specific table of planet info at her disposal. She also shows how multimodal and deictic (pointing or saying "How dense is THAT") behavior is integral to the way she thinks and interacts. Remember this is about her Meta approach to tables ... not just planets. In an upcoming demo we will let her mix it up and jump around different tables.

Just for fun look for subtle changes in emotion and gesture. She is learning a lot these days!

Hamlet's Skullduggery ... Cassandra Style

Cassandra's entry in the SpeechTEK Avatar Challenge.

Of course she can talk about anything that can be represented as well sturctured data. We thought this was an interesting example of talking about the elements of a play (e.g characters, relationships, events, props, etc.). Given a collection of plays that are digested into that format she could talk about any of them.

Cassandra Sees Stars

This demo was a tossed together for an audience of acknowledged speech experts at our weekly meeting, so it is a bit unpolished. In the previous meeting someone remarked about providing horoscopes. So for the next meeting I provided some entertainment.

We have no actual interest in horoscopes; it was just a premise to let Cassandra chat about.

Here is an audio example to show you a bit of what Cassandra can do. This example shows how Cassandra handles dates in a conversational manner.

Emmett talks a little bit about the process behind this simple, yet natural behavior in the Blog.
