Detroit, Michigan -- January 9, 2002. Everyone spends a good deal of their precious time commuting. Normally, a commute from home to work is about 35 miles. On a clear, weekend day, that’s about 25 minutes. Normal rush hour with some unpleasant weather, plan to be in your car for at least 45 minutes. Average commute from home to the mall, about 20 miles, or 25 minutes. Visiting relatives? Plan to spend 30 minutes in your car. If you’re alone, can you do anything with that time? ejTalk is developing the Road’s Scholar. It’s a conversational agent that can keep you safe, provide some fun, or help you learn something new.
