ejTalk explains basis of speech technology

Emmett J. Coin presented an overview session "The Allure and Power of Talking with the Machine" at the DCI-CRM Conference at in Chicago, Ill. on February 14, 2001.

The two day conference in Chicago, Illinois focused on the latest issues in Customer Relationship Management (CRM). Emmett provided a solid overview of the technical considerations behind the current state of the art for human-computer speech interfaces.

More and more companies are discovering this important field that is dedicated to talking with the machine.

The audience interest at Emmett's presentation was particularly piqued by the ejTalk position that the era of human-computer conversation has not yet crossed over into the consumer sector. And when that happens everything will change very quickly. It is must and it will become a tool for everyday use just as many other high technology things have ( cars, telephones, video tape, microwave ovens to name a few).
